Google I/O 2016

The Google IO 2016:-

This year is believed to notice the greatest Google IO ever....

Google released a lot of things and apps this year, including the new GOOGLE ASSISTANT, a messaging app 'allo', and  a video calling app 'Duo'. Google launched some accessories, including the all new 'google home', a small speaker-like accessory, which would act as an assistant at your home, it would work just like 'Google Now' does on your phone. Google also announced some new features of android N, Android wear 2.0

Google Assistant:-

The google launched a new speaker-like smart accessory, which would give answers to all the questions u ask, it listen you all the time, also, it is believed to be a competitor of, the amazon ECHO.

The device itself is a small cylinder with a rounded top and a speaker at the base, available in a number of different shells to match your decor.

Android N:-

Although the beta version of the Android N was released in march this year. But some new features and optimizations, were told in the Google IO 2016. These included more control over multitasking of apps by letting two apps work simultaneously on the same time. Some other features include the smart notifications,by letting apps, set the size of their notifications. Also a new feature is ' picture-in-picture' mode. Android N is also believed to be better for gaming, due to it's battery optimizations. Also a new API called the VULKAN, is released, which let's users directly access and control their GPU settings. Google asked the whole world for suggestions for Android N's name. But due to the large response of the people, the google named it to  "Android Nougat", as i already told u that Google always names an android as desert....

Use apps without downloading them:-

Google also told that, we could use apps without downloading them in Android N. This would take place by NFC (Near Field Communication). Google has named it Google Instant Apps. We will see a web version of the app.

Google's two new messaging apps:-

ALLO:-

It's believed to be a competitor of the Facebook's messenger app. It will be launched as a mobile app in later summer this year. Users will need to provide their number and will also have an option of connecting to their Google account later on. The is same as other common messaging apps, with some custom stickers,  and an option for resizing our messages(either shout or whisper). The app comes loaded with some private features like, the private notification option. Although the messages will encrypted, but thanks to the incognito mode, that provides us end-to-end encryption. A smart reply system has also been included in this app.The app will be available for both IOS and Android

DUO:-

 To fulfil the need of a video-calling app, Google has formed another app, called 'DUO'. It is launched as a competitor of Apple's Facetime app. The app is really simple to use. Once you open the app, you see a front camera video of yourself, And then you just need to select the person you want to call. The app has a new feature name 'KNOCK-KNOCK', That would let the person you call, to see a video of you even before he/she picks the call. Unlike the Facetime app, the app can be used on mobile only, as it is tied to your mobile number. So Apple has a big advantage here.

The All New Google Assistant:-

Google also launched a new Assistant, which would answer our questions. It seems more as a chat app than the search based Google Now. We could even call on the assistant in a conversation and our friends could reply to what it asks or says. The motive of Google was to spread the computing beyond devices letting users to interact more comfortably. We can do reservations through this assistant by letting it know the number of people we are going along. Also, it provides some quick responses for a message, emoji, and even the suggestions for a specific photo are surprisingly to-the-point.

At Last, The new Daydream:-

Daydream is a new VR platform, built into the new Android N. The Home screen would feature an entire 360 Degree Ecosystem. It is compatible with the new phones having new types of screens and sensors. The new daydream is much better than the Google Cardboard.

My first question to all of you is that what did u do to open my blog or which is the browser or the search engine you used to do so.

Well, probably it is Google search engine or Google chrome browser.....So, do you know the amount of data stored or the knowledge built-in to the Google servers...Well, it stores data about most of the things that are present around us.And believe me, the information is not saved over the internet by only one person. We, the common people, like you and me, and even the search results are a part of the website we make. But only the more popular results are seen on the top. Also Google is mostly related to the internet.Let's see how it has changed our lives and the world.

Google was founded by two Ph.d students at the stanford university by a joint effort, which they incorporated as the " The Google Inc." on 4 September, 1998. Their aim was to organise the world's information into on place and make it easier for people all over the world to access it and use it. While the Apple built the platform for using internet, they configured it. Google has many services, that help in making our life easier.Some of them are:-Online Documents (Google Docs), Online Client server (Google Drive) and a Social Networking (Google+).

The Money Money Money :-

Now u might be thinking that, where does the money come from for carrying such initiatives all over the world. Well, the most of the money comes from the Google AdWords-An online platform for showing Ads. Which means anyone can provide google the money and show their Ad to the whole world. The rest of the money comes from minor services that include formation of softwares. Although the google invests a lot in providing comfort to it's employees, and other projects for the well being of people and saving the nature.

Android:- The Heart & Soul of our phones:-

The google plays a very, very great role in making the operating system and improving the bugs and performance of our phones with every update. Without the operating system our phones would be just a structure made up of plastic. The name of every android starts from the first letter of a desert. And every update is announced on an annual meeting of the developers, called "Google IO". Android has a very large market, earlier, when the iPhone was launched, their was no other smartphone and so apple had more smartphones than any other company, but, after a few years, another companies came into the smartphone market, and all of them had another system, known the "android". So, this meant that all the phones in the world leaving just the iPhones were now running on android. So, iPhones had a very less share in the smartphone market as compared to the Android phones.Hence, large number of phones meant a large number of apps, so the Google launched the Play Store, where we could either upload our app for others to download it, or download any app for ourselves. So developers saw this as a huge opportunity for themselves and hence, play store was preferred by most of the people, so, the Google Inc. further expanded.

The Googleplex:- 

The main headquarters of Google are located in California, United States. And they are not like any other company's headquarters, The Googleplex is like a 7-Star hotel and features a comfortable and Eco-friendly life, making it much easier for the employees to work there. It was awarded as the world's best HQ. It has a very colourful design, Like the company's logo, also, it contains small statues of androids, that make the spot more attractive.

Nexus:-

Google has been working on a range of handheld devices known as 'NEXUS'. These devices are actually not made by Google but by other companies like LG, HTC, etc.. But are certified by Google. This series also includes tablets.

The Present CEO:-

The present CEO at Google is Sunder Pichai. He is an Indian-American, and had served Google for many years. Due to his continuous efforts and his capability to change the world made him the CEO. He has made many advances at Google and also had improved Google Chrome to a much larger extent.

And this is how Google And Apple have changed our lives. And it is almost impossible to address any one of them as superior. Both of them are the winners and as a reward, have won our hearts and support. They have been led and started by some extraordinary people, who gave up their pleasures to provide comfort to us. The Tech giants:-The Google and the Apple 

The Google and Apple are the two companies that have changed and are changing our lives into a technical puzzle. These two companies have their own values in the society and the world and were started by small and very ordinary people and now are the world's biggest companies. Let's see how they were started and what the have done for us and the world......

The Apple Inc.

The Apple Inc. ,which is one of the greatest contributors in the IT field was started by three teens ,Steve Jobs ,Steve wozniak and Ronald wayne on April 1,1976.Their aim was to make and sell personal computers. They named the company as APPLE COMPUTER INC.
The first computer they made was the Apple I kit. It was single handedly designed and hand built by Steve Wozniak. It was first shown to the people at the home brew computer club.After that their was no looking back and apple continued to make new devices,and after sometime what they invented created new links with technology.They made the personal computer ,like the one we use now,they made the laptop ,they made their own mouse,the first on was having a small ball under it but the next time they the one with laser technology.They made the keyboard which was totally similar to the one on our laptops and computers.And this time again,in 2007, Steve Jobs,the CEO of apple at that time,was ready to create history, he made the first iPhone, which we could use with our fingertips,it had internet facility,GPS,and many more features that the present day iPhones have.....
The next big update in the iPhone history came when apple launched iPhone 5 and 6. They had many new features like fingerprint scanner(touch ID).The iPhone 6 had 3D touch and the slo mo. And now Apple is going to launch iPhone 7 ,maybe in September. The Apple inc. didn't stop at this, the actually had invented so many things but most of them are out of our notice.we actually don't know about most of them. Do you remember the camera that apple invented?No!!!

The next big achievement of after the iPhone and the Macintosh was the iPad,a big screen device which had a touchscreen. About this Steve Jobs said,"computers could be trucks, but tablets could be something more efficient, like cars.And really it is true that nowadays people prefer to buy tablets rather than big computers or laptops apple has invented several iPad ,but the biggest and the fastest is the iPad Pro.Apple also invented an accessory,compatible only with iPad pro,that is named the Apple Pencil. It has various functions like, it could be used as a brush of desired thickness, we could use it as a pen or pencil,with any color.It can also check the pressure you are applying on the screen and act accordingly,the more pressure u apply,the more thick the mark becomes. We can also run two applications at a time, thanks to the big screen that it offers.Due to the presence of a wireless keyboard, which could be bought separately, it takes the place of our laptop.


Tim Cook :- The next CEO

After Steve Jobs,the legend died, Another legend,who worked with Steve Jobs,came up as the CEO of Apple, his name was Tim Cook. He was the one who made Apple grow too much and also helped apple become the world's greatest company...
